Every city in Tunisia has at least one theatre or concert hall that can host artists working in different genres.
For example, right now – December 3rd-10th, there is a festival called “Theatrical Days of Carthage” or Journées Théâtrales de Carthage. The Tunisian government has been hosting this traditional festival every two years since 1983.
The program of the festival is very diverse – here you can watch both contest and regular performances, as well as works by foreign guests.
This year, Journées Théâtrales de Carthage is attended by creative teams from 23 countries: the programme lists 82 performances, including 12 competitive, 31 regular, 12 world theatre performances, 4 amateur theatre performances and 7 plays for children.
